Gene Casazza

Gene Casazza

Gene facilitates and oversees daily construction activities and on-site construction management and development work. Gene works with our large sub-contractor network and in-house construction team to deliver quality projects on budget and on time. Prior to founding Holcomb, Gene worked for a Grosse Pointe Farms-based real estate development and construction management company for over 15 years. Previously, he was an award-winning commercial real estate broker, and he has extensive experience in property management and lease negotiations. Gene has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Siena Heights University. He is a licensed builder and has completed 30 hours of OSHA's construction-safety training. He resides in Grosse Pointe Farms with his wife Marisa, Children Elliott, Graham, Charlotte, Alice and dogs Roxy and Harry. Gene enjoys cooking and has an avid interest in the restaurants new and old throughout Detroit.

Matt Lelli

Matt Lelli

Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2018 and his Master of Architecture in 2019. He has a passion for revitalizing historical cities through creative design that considers an understanding of how environments evolve. His design philosophy is to ensure that the historical basis of a design is maintained while comprehending near-term societal trends and future re-use strategies. Before joining the team, he was involved in multiple historical renovations and new multifamily construction projects around the city of Detroit. In his free time he enjoys rock climbing with his two cats.

Carly McQueen

Carly McQueen

Carly is an experienced designer and project lead, managing work across commercial interiors, multifamily housing, adaptive reuse, and custom residential projects. She began her career in New York City after earning a B.Arch from Pratt Institute, building a strong foundation in technical rigor and design creativity. Now based in Detroit, Carly has led major projects like the Phoenix Suns and Mercury HQ and United Wholesale Mortgage's Corporate campus. She enjoys spending time with her family and young daughter Molly, working with ceramics, and taking on DIY renovation projects in her free time.

James Allen

James Allen

With over 28 years of experience in the construction industry, James brings a deep understanding of every stage of the building process to his role as a Construction Superintendent. His background includes 16 years as a finish carpenter, where he developed a keen eye for detail, craftsmanship, and precision—skills that now guide every project he oversees. James takes pride in managing complex custom residential builds, ensuring that each home reflects the client’s vision while meeting the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Throughout his career, he has built lasting relationships with clients, tradespeople, and design professionals through clear communication, strong leadership, and a commitment to excellence. From initial planning to the final walk-through, James focuses on delivering seamless execution, efficient scheduling, and meticulous attention to detail. Every project is an opportunity to combine craftsmanship with coordination, transforming ideas into homes that are both beautiful and built to last.

Elizabeth Rogensues

Elizabeth Rogensues

Elizabeth Rogensues is an experienced Interior Designer with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Michigan State University. Since beginning her career in Birmingham, Michigan in 2009, she has designed kitchens and baths for clients across the country, including work at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart and six years with a Colorado design studio specializing in new-build homes. With over 15 years in the industry, Elizabeth is known for her ability to blend creativity with functionality, crafting spaces that are both beautiful and purposeful. Her expertise spans every stage of the design process from concept development and material selection to detailed planning and client coordination. Outside the studio, Elizabeth enjoys being outdoors, running and spending time with her family, who keep her energy and inspiration going strong.

Christian Leinninger

Christian Leinninger

Christian oversees our deep network of residential subcontractors on a day-to-day basis ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget striving to exceed our clients’ expectations. Christian has over 20 years of residential/ commercial construction management experience having worked for national production building companies along with some of the most reputable high end custom builders in the Metro Detroit area. He is passionate with his approach and builds every project as if it were his own home. Prior to joining Holcomb, some of his proudest project accomplishments are the multiple buildings he oversaw the construction of at the Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park. Christian has a BBA in International Business from Eastern Michigan University and is a licensed builder in Michigan. He resides in Grosse Pointe with his wife Robyn, 2 sons and multiple pets. Christian enjoys camping with his family, hunting and coaching youth football and wrestling.
